I got a crack in my windshield on my ‘19 Tucson. Took it to safelite (specialty shop that only does glass repairs) and was charged $700 for the windshield and calibration.

I replaced my windshield a couple months back on my 2022 Hyundai Sonata.
Went with a local auto glass repair shop and they charged $1,500 for the glass and labor fee. They shop needed to special order the glass from Hyundai and took about 1 week.
I have a 2020 CX5 GT and had to replace the windshield. It took two months to get the OEM windshield. It was worth the wait.
I went with Utah Mobile Auto Glass because they use Carlex glass. Safelite and Technaglass use cheap aftermarket glass that's thinner, more prone to chips and cracks, and often has waves or other imperfections.
I had to replace my JLU windshield twice in 2 years. One of the times it looked like a baseball hit my windshield and exploded glass into the whole cab! I’m sorry to see that your windshield got toasted!
I’m on like my 5th windshield. I’ve got a split running across half the windshield now that I just have to live with because of these absolutely ridiculously priced windshields that will inevitably crack in less than 30 days after replacing.
I had mine done by the Santa Monica SC and it took them 3 times to seal it right. They also scratched the hood of my car. Overall -3/10.
I’ve owned 6 BMWs every one of them got cracked windshields, some multiple times….i always got oem…
They replaced my windshield in early January, one-day job, had an appointment to take it back Febuary 1st because of wind noise coming in thru the windshield and it’s been there since.
Oem glass is crap tho. Lots of people changed it multiple times.
