The glass we’re on now is a Pilkington, replaced and calibrated at a shop closer to home. This glass has lasted 3x longer than the others combined and recently took a strike from a nickel-sized rock :)

Pros: lasted 3x longer, resisted rock strike

At first they put a non-OEM windshield, couldnt calibrate the camera behind the review mirror, went back a week later and got OEM. No issues for me.

Pros: No issues

I went through 3 windshields before they agreed to pay for OEM because the HUD was blurry or to high or never would get level. Once we got an OEM it was perfect.

Pros: HUD perfect, level display

Got a chip in the second week after I bought my 2023 CX5. It was so frustrating, I was passing a slow truck and it had just rained and there was some gravel on the road. The rock was huge though, so I think that was the major issue. I have had small rocks hit the windshield but they did not have any impact.

Pros: resistant to small rocks
Cons: chipped by large rock

Just noticed a small chip in my current Crosstrek (2021). Prior to owning a crosstrek, I’ve never had even the SLIGHTEST amount of damage to my windshield.

Cons: chips easily

2022 Sport at 15k miles and the windshield has a few noticeable chips. It is only rarely driven on the interstate. It does seem unusual considering my Tesla Model 3 with 30k miles does not have a single noticeable chip.

Cons: chips easily
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 15000 km

EyeSight-enabled Crosstrek windshields are larger than typical and have far less curvature; therefore, they’re more vulnerable than otherwise.

Cons: more vulnerable

This windshield chips and gets pits more easily than anything I’ve ever driven. I hate it. I keep a windshield repair kit on hand at all times.

Cons: chips easily, pits easily

I've had many cars before my 2022 Cx-30 and this windshield has cracked/chipped 3 times in less than 1 year. All the chips happened at low speed, which I have never seen on my other cars. I'm not impressed.

Cons: cracked/chipped easily, low speed damage
