Falken Tires

In short, these tires are amazing!

Pros:

- For being AT tires, they're very quiet. Yes I know AT tires get louder as they get worn out, but these have been excellent so far on dry highway.

- They're excellent in rain, no hydroplaning.

- They're excellent in snow.

- They're excellent off-roading.

- Tires look beefy! Give the 4R an aggressive look.

- I got C-load, no need for E-load as I don't do hardcore stuff like in the west.

Cons:

- As expected with most AT tires, they're heavy, but nig enough to make the 4R any slower.

- Even though they are stock size, they're bigger than the stock Dunlops in every dimension. The beefy outer knobs rubbed at full lock when reversing so had to trim the bottom bumper by grinding it down and also a bit on the inside liner.

Pros: very quiet, excellent in rain
Cons: heavy, bigger than stock

Aside from Canada 2010, can confirm, Bridgestone tires are durable and great. Own a set on my road car. Well priced too. 10/10. Would equip again.

Pros: durable, great, well priced

DUNLOP Tires

The stock tires actually perform quite well (my stock were Dunlop AT20 Grandtreks). For anything other than mud, fantastic. Sand and greenlaning were no problem.

Pros: fantastic performance, good for sand
Cons: not good for mud

Hankook Tires

I’m quite impressed by how these tires perform on wet roads even with how aggressive they are compared to other similarly aggressive all terrains like the BFGoodrich KO2 that I used to have. They also have a pretty good 70K mile warranty which is pretty great!

Pros: good wet road performance
Cons: aggressive all terrains

Kumho Tires

Kumho tires are a decent brand.

I would agree with another poster that they are a good mid-tier brand. In that range of tires, you generally pay less and get very good performance.

What I’ve found is the mid tier brands usually give something up to the top tier brands like Michelin. For example, if you get a performance tire, the Kumho might have dry grip that is as good or better than the Michelin, but maybe the tire doesn’t last as long or isn’t quite as good in the rain.

The differences tend to be small, though. And the price premium you pay for top tier brands is usually a larger percentage than the difference in performance.

Pros: good mid-tier brand
Cons: less good in rain

Rating 3.0

I went to 18 inch wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport tires hoping that it would help. Improved the ride and reduced my stress over blow outs on the 20 inch OEM tires, but didn\u2019t fix the noisy suspension.

Pros: improved the ride
Cons: didn't fix noise
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 2000 km

Nexen Tires

the stock OE tires are absolute garbage but they'll work just fine if you live in warmer climate area. I put mine through a single winter in buffalo ny area. it was a bad idea but if you're a good driver, you can manage the LACK of ANY traction.

Pros: work in warmer climate
Cons: absolute garbage, lack traction
Vehicle: Hyundai
