Owner reviews for tires
I've had the Dunlop M3's on 4 differnt cars including 2 RWD I really like those , they are also very quiet and fairly responsive in the dry too.
I have them on my E30. They're a fantastic tire in ALL conditions but heavy snow. Great in the dry, great in the wet, wear better than 512s did, fairly quiet for what they are. They're even passably ok in plowed/packed snow on traveled roads. They're slow to get going from a stop, but once you're moving they're very predictable and easy to drive with.
I've been running them for 22000 miles now, no complaints here. Stick well in wet and dry, no comment on snow.
I have them on 2 of my cars - one summer car - one daily... Perform good in rain, and "well" in snow. I've got about 50% tread left - and in snowy conditions do fine (except from a dead stop - can be difficult). Did great in the first summer/winter - but like any "performance all-season" does so-so once the tread wears down... For a great price - I say rock em...
ya w rated you get the superior handling in dry summer conditions and it also handles and bites extremly well in the snow. It also cuts right threw water with its shutes in the tread design. You should really check this tire out. I couldnt be any more plz with thise tire on my car. I always hated goodyear but they really did make extremly good w rated a/s tire this time.
check out the Goodyear Eagle GT's. $500 a set. 225/45/17 Best new w rated all season tire out there now. Plus there half the price of many others in its category. i love mine.
I never had any trouble with Dunlop M3's
Confirmed, mine also came with 235/45/R17 Michelin HX MXM4 Pilot tires with an M+S rating, so they are rated for some level of mud and snow service. So far, the little bit we have driven the car it seems to handle ok on the snow and ice, and seems to grip the dry pavement really well.
The Factory 18" tire is the Pirelli P6, not rated so well either but not anything as bad as those Goodyears.
