Bosch Spark plug

Bosch should be the safest choice for German cars, but avoid their gimmicky "Plus 4" plugs that have 4 ground electrodes, unless that's what the car came with from the factory.

Pros: safest choice
Cons: gimmicky plugs

NGK Spark plug
B5Speedo

Rating 4.0

Got new NGK BKR8EIX pugs today and gapped them to 0.024". Originally, 0.030" according to my gauge. Very surprised when I removed the old plugs as they were all at varying degrees of tightness even though they were originally torqued to 25NM. Car runs great with the new plugs. No complaints so far.

Pros: car runs great
Cons: varying degrees of tightness
Mileage: 20000 km
Part number: BKR8EIX

NGK Spark plug

I've been pulling my CR8EIX iridium plugs out to check how they are burning a lot recently. I've been seeing some light ash deposits and high speed glazing and the iridium tips of the plugs are not as hot as I would expect them to be, i.e., they are not *white*.

Cons: light ash deposits, high speed glazing
Part number: CR8EIX

Bosch Spark plug

Bosch finewires suck dong and AFAIK are not OE for anything even though they claim they're OE for practically every car on the road.

Cons: suck dong
