I did mine with Bilstein 4600s on all four corners. Rides great!

i did all 4 corners. replaced with alltrack-specific Bilstein b6 which was a huge handling upgrade.
I ran 5100's f/r for awhile before installing a 2" lift. They rode great. They still ride great with the lift springs I installed later to accompany them. They feel like the "Sport" setting in the AHC switch would've felt like if you had good stock shocks. They're not spine compressing stiff in the slightest.
I went with Dobinsons twin tubes on my GX470 and they’ve been great. Pretty comparable to the sport setting on the OEM shocks I’d say.
Some one already said it but I recently did koni yellows and HR OE sport springs for mine. On the koni "stock ride hight" setting it sits nice and is a very comfortable ride since the HR springs lower it to a classy level without bottoming out ever.
I had Bilstein B8s with Neuspeed Sport springs and the damping is way better, and adjustable with clicks at the base of the shocks, with B16s even though the spring rates are significantly higher. B8/NSS were bouncy in comparison over expansion joints, etc.
I would call it seeping more than leaking. These Bilsteins do that. Look at the grease/dirt under the spring.
Bilstein B6 monotube shocks work only with stock ride height springs. With a chassis as light as the IS300, they’ll give you a much stiffer ride than the other options. Some drivers like it; but you may worsen traction on roads in poor condition. Comfort will similarly degrade. Their main advantages are that they won’t fade in prolonged aggressive driving and they last a long time.
I had kybs snap off at the weld on one end. Not even doing anything wild, just on the highway. Never buying them again.
Mine don’t have the covers and have completely failed.
