I think I'll stick with my Noco Genius which is quite light and smaller than a brick, at $99. I have one in all my vehicles. Works great.

Pros: works great, light and small

Noco is #1 for sure. I have a GB40 in my wife's car. Also, Harbor Freight's larger Viking pack has tested incredibly well in reviews on YouTube. Wait for a 25% off coupon though, that's what I did and I'm really satisfied after using it a few times to help people out.

Pros: quality pack, satisfied

After seeing some of the dead battery posts here I decided to get a booster to keep in my ‘23 Kicks full-time and settled on the Noco GB40. It’s a lithium battery so it’s very small and easy to stash. Haven’t had to use it on my own car but jump started my neighbour’s V6 Pathfinder just fine. It also has USB so you can charge your devices if you’re stuck somewhere.

Pros: small, easy to stash
Cons: probably not cheapest
Vehicle: Nissan

I have the 1,000 noco jump starter and it fired up my 7.3 up immediately in 36° weather the other morning when I accidentally left the dome light on all night. Definitely a good choice

Pros: fired up immediately, good choice

Pros: okay for a here-and-there
Cons: cheaper ones die quicker

Yup same thing happened to my Noco boost after about 5 years, with the high discharge rate of a jump starter their cycle life if fairly short eventually they’ll not provide enough current

Pros: high discharge rate
Cons: short cycle life

Do not buy the NOCO GB40 if you have a hybrid. It's underpowered and requires a full charge plus the boost to have a chance to scrape the advertised power and a lot of times it won't even work to jump start your car. NOCO claims it will work "up to twenty times" but in reality you're lucky if you get ten. For me it worked twice.

Cons: underpowered, doesn't work well
Vehicle: Toyota
Part number: GB40
