Avoid Castrol. Use Mobil1 or LiquiMolly.

I'm using 5w40 and never had issues overheating in summer but im not doing half hour pulls. No oil consuption also. With 5w30 when driving hard it was eating a lot of oil.

Pros: no overheating, no oil consumption
Cons: avoid Castrol

Castrol Engine oil

I use castrol 5w-40 Euro on my 2006 Revup. Good oil pressure on hot SoCal days and burns less oil.

Pros: good oil pressure, less oil burn
Vehicle: Nissan

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

Random guy who works on these cars here, change it at 5-6k regularly. Ignore the casuals here who don’t work on these cars, and especially Ignore the factory recommended interval. Your engine will last much longer, you’ll reduce wear on the timing chain, turbo, as well as other components. You’ll also reduce the chance of your piston rings getting glued together with carbon creating excessive oil consumption. Just change it. I recommend liquimoly oil.

Pros: reduce wear, engine lasts longer
Cons: excessive oil consumption
Mileage: 6000 km

Shell Engine oil

Rating 3.0

Rotella T-Syn is a great oil but for our turbos...i wouldn't recommend it since if any oil gets burnt or makes it way through the rings...the higher amount of ZDDP (zinc) found in the Shell Rotella Synthetic oil will be harmful to your catalytic converter which may cause a failure.

Pros: great oil
Cons: harmful to catalytic converter
