Happens often. Lemforder control arms with VW badges grinded off is first what comes up in mind.
Ive had good luck with a control arm from ac delco
I just put Delphi lower/front arms on last week, I'll have to check where they were made, but the casting quality was spot on.
I also bought my wishbones / control arms from skf and they work fine.
I have used a Meyle HD front end kit on one of my Phaetons and it seemed like good quality control arms.
I have tried these on other cars and they where not great but their bmw parts the QC seams higher and the ones I have on my xi have grease fittings.
Looking for replacement for upper & lower control arms & full assembly for each on my 07 gx470 - looking for full kits to replace oem, as I'm at 140k miles & know buying direct from toyota is a rip. I have an OME 2" lift.
Better than the MOOG control arm that has a squeaky bushing
My 2023 YLR has premature cracking on the front driver-side control arm. I’ve scheduled an inspection, hopefully it’ll be covered under warranty and won’t cost anything out of pocket.
