OEM Volvo Ball joint

Love my '07 v8. She is a heavy beast though. I've only replaced ball joints so far, but the front end still makes some noise and I'm sure there's more suspension work in our future. I bought it with 90k and have 130k now.

Pros: reliable
Cons: suspension noise
Vehicle: Volvo XC90
Mileage: 130000 km

2005 with 23000km on the clock - right front ball joint collapsed - need to replace entire control arm, so it wasn't cheap (+- $700).

Cons: ball joint collapsed, not cheap
Vehicle: Volkswagen Polo
Mileage: 23000 km

OEM Volkswagen Ball joint

I've not seen a zerk (grease fitting) on a VW since I had my '81 Rabbit Cabby that had fittings on the outer tie rod ends! All the ball joints are "factory sealed" lubed for life....in the case of my Passat that's not a very long life span! Control arm ball joints failed on it at 55K miles!

Cons: short life span, failed at 55K
Vehicle: Volkswagen Passat
Mileage: 55000 km
