I bought the whole arms with preinstalled balljoints from Detroit Axle for my Liberty. They have been great.
Owner reviews for ball joint
Cheap ball joints usually last one year, that is why they are cheap. Get Moog, the price is worth it.
I've had 555 on mine, and it's not a street rig. I've driven some of the worst washboards in remote Africa, and even in the city out "streets" aren't exactly good.
I had the Meyles pressed in to the Lemforder arms and competed for the next 2 and a bit seasons without issue
555 is good as long as they're real. Just like factory.
Just installed these two months ago, working solid!
I went moog. idk if i can complain, but I've only put 1k miles on them.
I replaced ball joints in an f250, and after the installation, one of them will not take any grease. I made an adapter to fully thread 3 different grease guns directly to the ball joint. Ended up ripping the threads out.
I installed 2 new moog ball joints in my 2001 honda accord. Install went smooth, added outer tie rods and got it aligned. I drove it for a day and it seemed nice and tight. Then the next morning I drive out the driveway and it goes "squeak-squawk". Driving normally seems fine, driving slowly around corners/mild bumps and it squawks like your choking a flamingo. The drivers side was sounding bad... Now I can hear the passenger side Moog balljoint squeaking and squawking now too.
I had this issue with some moog ball joints recently. Convinced me never to buy moog again.
