I just did my rear brakes! I forgot to plug one of the caliper motors back in. And tried to take it out of maintenance mode, it freaked out. But luckily it was fine after I reconnected the caliper.

My daughter drives a 2022 CX-5, and the brake system is simply awful. Forget about getting used to long pedal travel or a natural driving feel—it's just not right. This is a heavy SUV, especially when loaded with passengers, and the single-piston front brake calipers make it unreliable, inappropriate, and downright dangerous. I complained to the dealer well before the warranty expired. They changed the brake fluid, which was shockingly dirty and full of contaminants for a car with less than 25,000 miles.
The next thing that went wrong was the passenger side brake caliper seized up. I spent a grand on front brakes and rotors.
Like only had to replace the rear brake calipers after the parking brake mechanism was getting hung up.
