I have installed HR (07/08 350z) alternators and DE (03-06) alternators. They seem to be almost identical in my mind except the HR uses a different pulley and outputs at a higher amperage (110A vs 150A).
You have to loosen the lower ball joint to lower arm bolts on the side to get a litlle more clearance on one side. On the other side completely unbolt the ball joint and swing it out of the way to drop the hub assembly more.
Don\u2019t get depo get some HR headlights. Those depo headlights will fog up and will not work as good as OEM. Those extra few hundred dollars are worth it if your trying to seriously upgrade and not just be another clapped out Z.
