Put new OEM springs matched with Bilstein B4 and they're a bit stiffer now. Awesome for cornering but definitely not as "lush" as they once were. Hopefully they settle a bit more.
I have a 2006 9-3 aero with the v6 and it is a little harsh but I have recently upgraded and gone for bilstein b8 kit with Vogtland lowering springs. I have to say the ride is nice and firm when needed and soft enough day to day.
2in prg spacer lift with bilstien 4600 up front and kyb gas-a-just rear shocks with air lift 1000 bag kit. Best cheap setup for these machines.
Im not a fan of Bilstein 5100, they replaced a set of blown rough country shocks on a rig i bought and the ride honestly felt the same to me.
I love mine, but it will be a rough ride on the road if your suspension geometry is off.
Bilstein 5100s, I love them on mine. They take a while to break in, but just go beat on them off-road for a day and they’re dreamy.
Best bang for your buck would definitely be bilsteins. If you don't do much off-road then bilsteins will be plenty good enough
I used Bilstein 5100s forever on previous trucks and they worked well and gave me some added lift. I now run Bilstein 6112s in front and 5160s in the rear. More expensive set up but way better ride than any Rancho shock could give you.
I have Bilstein 5100’s on my ‘15 and love them. Leveled the front with them to within a 1/4”.
Did you test the ride quality at different ride heights? I think if you raised up about an inch you would see that these are vastly superior to stock suspension. I had mine moderately low then raised them up 3/4 inch and the ride quality is much better. I have B16s.
