I ran the smaller mk3 starter for many years, and it was fine, but now that I have a new-to-me car with the original starter still in it- I prefer that one. It never bogs down, seems to have more torque.
Freaking love my 225/50/17 Nokia’s WRG3 outstanding snow and ice performance and never have to worry about random 70 degree weather temps we get in mass during winter.
I’m running my winters on 18” wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4. It’s Michelin’s performance-oriented snow tire. 235/40-18. Loving it.
Im going to be replacing my radiator soon with all coolant connection and hoses, does anyone know the difference between the radiator std and heavy duty one? STD: Nissens #652011 Heavy duty: Nissens #65011
No warranty here (MKV), but i experienced a (significant) decrease in oil consumption, when switching from Motul, to MolyGen. YMMV.
I opted to go w/the following: Golf R springs (euro wagon rears form E-ACCA), Koni Special Actives, Golf R bumpstops. I have about 5K on the setup, and absolutely love it. The tire-to-wheel cap is around 38mm front and rear, and there's very little sag with a loaded boot.
I have OEM GTI fronts / Golf R rear springs, and Bilstein B6 rear shocks. I love this setup, it has a rear bias so it turns nicely, still comfortable, vastly better than the oem setup. A full GTI setup works well IF you use with those B6 rear shocks, otherwise the damping feels too light.
Installed used OEM AWD Tig springs/shocks Upgraded to Koni Yellow Tig shocks Installed SuperPro control arm bushings/brackets to bring alignment into spec and hopefully help with high speed steering vagueness
I purchased theses lights... between damaged in shipping and dry-rot the plastic mounting brackets shattered. seller refunded my money and life goes on.
