I've decided to install the plugs myself. Given that the vehicle has nothing in the way of a tune, it would seem that the 'standard' heat range plug would be the best fit. APR does not seem to offer a 'standard' heat range plug so they are off the table. The prices for the NGK plugs from the dealer seem reasonable even there challenge is 'which one?' They list a 06K905601B Type 1 and a 06K905601L Type 2. Google searches offer nothing in the way of information about the difference. Is it the heat range? the external construction? the internal construction? the ???. There is a price difference in that the Type 2 is over twice the price of the Type 1 so I am assuming there is some difference, but no specifications to suggest what. To ensure theMuffinMan understands what I am saying ... I am not sensitive to the price difference BUT it is the only factual piece of information I've been able to find, other that part number, to distinguish one from the other. I am stating the difference as a fact and not as part of the selection criteria. Looking at the NGK offerings, they seem to be NGK PLFER7A8EG Laser Platinum or NGK LFER7BHX Ruthenium HX. Any insight would be appreciated.

Headlights on this car are probably one of the better ones.
Yeah, I've been super happy with the headlights on the 7.5's too. The turn tracking and uphill/downhill movement is nice too.
I apologize for being so excited and impressed, but I never had a car with the feature of automatic high-beams. I experienced it just now for the first time coming home from dinner with my wife on our weekly Date Night. It's Awesome!!! I love it!!! The automatic high-beams were amazing!!! Honestly, it's also a bit of an easter Egg for me with my \"new\" 2019 Golf R. The 2019 Golf R also has very good headlight high-beams! My 2010 Golf TDI has great Xenon high-beams too, but the LEDs in the 2019 Golf R are even better!
Bought some Akebono Ultra pads and wheels look great all the time! Didn't notice any drop off in performance
Actually just got those tires put on barely 2 weeks ago, took advantage of the rebate and good price on tire rack. I wasnt familiar either with the brand but after doing some research they are very well known and liked in Europe, they are made in Holland. I didnt want to buy new wheels til next summer so ended up getting the stock tire size 235 35 by 19 on the stock wheel. i cant speak on how they perform in the snow quite yet but so far so good, they give you a 10-15% stiffer ride specially in race mode compared to my stock goodyear summer tire but i was expecting that. so far so good! Specially for the price im a fan.
If you can, spend the extra on PIAA blades. Had them on my Tiguan and now my R. Fantastic blades.
I happened to grab a pair of Bosch's from Canadian Tire and throw them on before a big rainfall a few weeks ago and wow... night and day difference.
The best middle ground would be your UHP All Seasons category. Not as performance oriented as summer. But also not as costly. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S, Conti DWS06+ for example.
I installed my Firestone 4176 bags. The problem with these airbag kits is the flexible airlines are surprisingly thin and flexible. I routed mine UP... with any movement its possible it gets kinked right there (and I am having problems with zero psi on one side, and unable to lower on the other- so in the midst of fiddling with it..)
