Bilstein Strut assembly

  • Bounce:
Rating 5.0

B8's are great. I run them on my MK7. But they need to be paired with more aggressive springs as the B8's are a shorter & stiffer strut. So softer springs will often bottom them out.

Like H&R Sports. Those are a popular combo with the B8 strut.

Yes, you'll notice a difference. As the car will have proper damping. Ride won't be as harsh, bumps won't be bouncy, cornering will be more definitive & sharp.

Pros: proper damping, sharp cornering
Cons: need aggressive springs

Rating 4.0

The Mk 8 came with some Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports and so far I am liking them a lot. They feel very similar to the PS4S, however I doubt they will last as long.

Pros: liking them a lot
Cons: doubt they will last

IHI Turbocharger
Peylix
  • Power:
Rating 4.0

My car has been pretty reliable with an IS38 if you take away the issues caused by me or shitty parts (spark plug break after running past interval / Shuenk's POS), or the HPA HPFP that shit the bed after going with ethanol.

Pros: pretty reliable with IS38
Cons: issues caused by me

Hengst Oil filter

since vw started using the synthetic material i am very fond of using oem. ive never seen the synthetic material deteriorate or crush in the housing between oil changes. ive also seen the plastic on those types of hengst filters break apart and that scares me to use.

Pros: synthetic material, does not deteriorate
Cons: plastic breaks apart
