A quick bench test revealed the damping rate of the replacement shocks to feel approximately twice that of the originals, which were way too soft even for daily driving over bad surfaces.
Thanks for the help Waynep, ended up replacing the alternator itself and now its working like a charm!
Put my 16" golf oem rims and general artimax tires on last night. So far very happy with the road noise and handling even in 60 degree temps here in NJ.
I have the Michelin A/S 3s on my MKVI and am very happy with them, they replaced the OEM Contis that came with the car at around 40K.
I put over 40k on my p zero tires with the mk6, I know people dog then but I was glad to get them again with my mk7.
I've been using these docs for a while now, and am incredibly grateful for you sharing them. With that said, I just noticed something that's news to me. Both the \"Revised Oil Capacity Job Aid\" and the 2012 vs 2013 fluid capacity charts show a 1 qt decrease in engine oil capacity between 2012 and 2013 MY. I've always heard there were insignificant, minor changes between the model years. I've been putting 5ish into my 2012 and it's always been full according to the dipstick.
I have Pirelli's on our van and am much happier with them than I am with my Michelin's on my Golf. The Pirelli's are much much better in all conditions.
I use Mann oil filter. Possibly a bypass in them when pressure exceeds a certain amount???? Like when the engine is cold, 100+ psi???
On my mk3 I ran a fuel cell gravity feeding a bosch 044 pump with -6hose. I chose a K&N fuel filter that had a billet aluminum body with a screen disk as the filter. K&N verified this was OK for fuel injection. Well, the pump was so high flow that the screen filter was a real restriction and bent the screen kind of forcing it half way through the hole.
