Mine lasted 5 years on my 02.

my 2011 was consuming 1L every 1600km, especially on highway / hilly drives. it got a new short block / rings replaced at 90k under warranty, and it still consumes 1/2L. i recently switched over to Valvoline R&P, but am only on my second oil change with the stuff. on a long, hot, mountainous 8000km roadtrip last month it only consumed 1/3L per 1600km. i wasn’t expecting immediate results from R&P, so holding out hope that consumption continues to drop.
Michelin X-Ice for me. They do great in slush and slop too - we got 11” of snow here in Minnesota a last spring and one of the kids and I drove around with shovels and kitty litter helping folks who were stuck, it was unbelievably fun - the Crosstrek is unstoppable with those tires.
I use the Bridgestone Blizzak dm-v2 tires in the winter. They’re amazingly grippy and gives me a lot of driving confidence on snow
as far as stock brakes go, they’re pretty damn good
In the last year I bought a 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness and people flash their high beams at me all the time. I’m sure they are always quite shocked when I flash them back and they realize it’s just my normal headlights.
I had to do a hard stop last week in my all stock 23 wrx and was surprised how fast it stopped.
I have 9800 miles on my 2025, I currently have 1 chip from a small rock that struck the windshield while doing 70 on I-95.
I have a 2024 WRX Ts top of the line Sports wagon...there is one thing I HATE about the vehicle and this in the absolute perthitic LED Crab Claw headlight. They are so bad I don't drive the vehicle at night. The lights are so bad that they are dangerous as they create a dark spot directly in front of the vehicle.
Most go with Pirelli, Michelin , Falken where as Cooper is C grade tire.
