They’ve been performing great, it can stop much faster. Went with Power Stop Z23 pads.

I use TRW brake pads (just checked, articles are GDB3592 for front, GDB2172 for back). They make quite a lot of brake dust during spirited driving, but that’s not a big deal for me (IMO more brake dust = less wear on brake discs).
I went and got a Mazda one off of Moss bc I was sick of AutoZone remanned ones blowing up. It's plenty nice for stock electrical load
I’ve used the trico exact fit since I got my 2018 and they’ve lasted me 1.5 years a piece on the east coast usa. 24-17b and 18-17b are the part numbers.
I have those, and I’ll be there’s pretty good. I have a 2018 cx5. A little pricey but had them for a while and still going strong. My opinion spend a little extra now then having to replace them more often.
My Miata has almost 300k on the original head gasket I started using the far right a few times ago and I don’t leak a lick of oil
My wife has a CX-9 with falken ziex ct50 and she got 60k out of her set.
I just got a set of 255 Falken RT660, not quite half-gone. Put them on the car and wow did they rub, definitely need to self-clearance. Speed-wise they were pretty comparable to what I've been running on Bridgestones, but they got pretty slidey late in sessions and it wasn't even a hot day.
On certain mazdas (like my 2006, 2008.5 Mazda3, and 2015 Mazda5) it's NOT a 2 min job. It requires 2-3 hr yoga session to warm up to prep for the job, then another 2hrs trying to get in the right position as to not cramp up while trying to position 2 filters on top of each other in a space that only small children hands can access
stock tires are garbage awd turbo here. New tires bring it alive much better confidence in the hard corners and way better in the wet
