OEM Jeep Brake pads

The Cherokee Trailhawk has “lifetime brakes”, I sold mine at 100k miles and still had the original pads and rotors with about ton of life left.

Pros: long brake life
Vehicle: Jeep Cherokee
Mileage: 100000 km

MOPAR Thermostat
used-user001
  • Slow warm-up:
  • Overheating:
  • Cabin heat:
Rating 5.0

Finally got around to replacing the thermostat on my 2000 XJ. Temp rarely hit 210 unless I was idling for a while so I suspected a bad thermostat. Sure enough it was stuck in the open position. I was able to find an OEM one part # 5202 8186AC. 195 degree with a weephole. Noticeable difference in performance and it’s nice to have heat again.

Pros: improved performance, restored heat
Part number: 5202 8186AC

YOKOHAMA Tires
silentbtdudly
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 4.0

I vote the Yoko's, I just put a set on my gf's Cherokee and they stick like glue and are quiet. I've had multiple different toyo's in the past and when new they were ok but wore quick and turned into a stone.

Pros: stick like glue, quiet
Cons: toyo's wore quick

Cooper Tires

Great tire, have them on my Jeep Cherokee and my wife's Town and Country. Both cars came from the factory with Firestones, totally junk tires. I just replaced my wife's last week with the new Cooper Pro Control.

Pros: great tire
Cons: Firestones totally junk

Goodyear Tires
_That_One_Guy_
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 3.0

I like them everywhere except wet roads. I've never been disappointed with their performance off-road and they do really well in snow, better than in rain actually. I can't hear the tire noise over the wind and rattling. Granted, they're the only ATs I've had on my Jeep since it was lifted so I can't compare them to other things. They are not the best option for a daily driver F150 though. They get loud and cup quickly and rain performance is more important with a heavier vehicle, especially when towing a camper.

Pros: good off-road performance, good in snow
Cons: poor wet traction, get loud, cup quickly
