OEM Honda AC compressor
shacklyn
  • Cooling performance:
  • Engagement:
Rating 5.0

Our 2011 has 203K miles. We’ve had a starter go out, and we’ve replaced two A/C compressors, but that’s it. Doesn’t burn any oil. The most amazing thing is no squeaks or rattles from any of the interior panels after all those miles. This was my first-ever Honda, and it’s the best-built, most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Pros: best-built, most reliable vehicle
Cons: starter go out, A/C compressors replaced
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 326691 km

OEM Honda Timing belt
achenx75
  • Visible wear:
Rating 4.0

2010 Ridgeline, so same engine/platform as the Pilot.. Just changed the timing belt at 160k miles for the first time. The belt felt totally fine, almost brand new. The tensioner looked like it had a little fluid leaking but looked fine. The tensioner pulley had a little play.

Pros: belt felt fine
Cons: tensioner pulley play
Vehicle: Honda Ridgeline
Mileage: 160000 km

AISIN Water pump

Yes, Aisin TKH-002. I personally would only buy from Napa store or Carid.com. Napa is listed as authorized retail for my state. I personally wont trust rockauto for critical parts like this, I have has two experiences with previously used/tampered products from them. I can pay a little more from Carid.com and they shipped directly from Aisin warehouse, not Rockautos random low bid distributor. Amazon and Ebay have a bad reputation for fakes, no personal experience with that.

Vehicle: Honda Odyssey
Part number: TKH-002

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I've driven the General Altimax Arctic and they were indestructible. They handled snow/ice very well in my FWD Honda. Since they're winter tires, I only drove them 1/2 the year for 6 years. At that age, they recommend replacing tires, but they were still performing great and had tons of tread life left, so I just left them on the car for the whole next two years. They handled both winters great and were totally fine in the summer.

Pros: indestructible, handled snow/ice well
Vehicle: Honda

Pirelli Tires

It depends. I have the P Zero on my S2000 and they are good. The Bridgestone Potenza were better but not by much, the Michelin Pilot Sport were worse. On the other hand I have the Cinturato on my Focus Wagon and they suck sweaty balls. They are so bad I just put on some random Nexen M+S tires for winter and the car drivers better. I mean. WTF.

Pros: good on S2000
Cons: suck on Focus Wagon
Vehicle: Honda S2000

OEM Honda Headlights
Agreeable-Win-614
  • Brightness:
  • Aim:
Rating 1.0

2025 Crv Hybrid Sport L. Headlights are garbage. Fine in dry weather, but when its raining, especially at high speeds on highway, they are too diffuse and wash out. I noticed that the lane keep assist also struggles to find the center bc it can’t “see” the lines. Awful awful awful.

Cons: too diffuse, wash out
Vehicle: Honda
