New rubber today, Vredestein hypertracs, good tire ????????
I have gotten great wear out of Yokohama Avid Ascend GT on my Model 3, and it appears to fit the 19” Y as well.
I bought Vredestein Wintrac Pro and have really liked them. I live in western Massachusetts and have a very long gravel driveway up a steep hill. The tires are great and get very good ratings.
Had the Wintrac Pro on my Type R for the past 5 winters and drove them for about 50000km all through central Europe and southern Scandinavia. Never had issues with them, both in the wet and in the snow.
I have the wintrac pro on our GLE, think they’re a really good tire and will probably buy them again. They are also really good in the wet, didn’t have any surprising moments this winter, both in snowy/slushy and wet conditions.
Have a pajero. I just put Yokohama Geolander HT and they are quite nice. Not very loud. Good grip and decent tread pattern to perform offroad as well.
Im using Yokohama Geolander A/T 015 rightnnow and they're pretty good at taking small bumps, providing a good ride and maintaining bettee than average grip at turning. Was a good ride.
Road noise isn't bad.
My buddy has P Zero Winter on his S4
and he likes them. I have Yokohama BluEarth Winter V905 and they are nice but the sidewall is not as stiff as the Pirellis. Still happy with them though.
Tires like QUATRAC 5 offer solid performance when new or slightly used. Due to well siped thread lugs and overall spacing of tread lugs, it offers well mannered ride in wet, maybe even in snow. However, based on my subjective experience, after owning many different types of tires, I noticed semi-open outer tread lugs only work until they are worn down to tire bar that stabilizes the tread lugs. Once tread is worn pass that bar, performance diminishes adversely.
We no longer sell or recommend vredestein. Saw a lot of issues with tread wear and blow outs on 40 series or less sidewall.
