Tires YOKOHAMA or NITTO

NITTO Tires

We have the nittos on our 21 Silverado and I love them. They have 50k on them and still look new and I was really surprised by there performance in wet weather.

Pros: look new after 50k, good wet weather performance
Mileage: 50000 km

Can't speak on the Mickeys, but I have 35" Ridge Grapplers on my Gladiator that ride real nice, noticeably softer and nicer than the Falken Wildpeaks that were stock, and I have had zero traction issues on rain, snow, or ice.

Pros: softer and nicer ride, zero traction issues
Vehicle: Jeep

YOKOHAMA Tires

I appreciate seeing the tire conversations here in particular because I have a 2019 GX460 Premium (no lift, Lexus rims, nothing special yet) and tires are a fresh concern but I don't mean to hijack a topic on two other specific tire models, and if it's inappropriate I can delete this, but has anybody got any thoughts on Yokohama Geolandars for a GX?

I've run 2 or 3 sets on my former vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Rogue, and they were simply fantastic.

Pros: fantastic tires
Vehicle: Nissan

I have them and like them. I am not a mudder, but they work well for me in snow and what limited ice I have driven on. They are not very loud thankfully.

Pros: work well in snow
Cons: not for mudding
Vehicle: Jeep

NITTO Tires

The on road behavior is better on the ridge than the Terra. Tread pattern is different, but equally aggressive.

Pros: better on road behavior

NITTO Tires

I've been very happy with my Nittos. In Australia, used on a work 4wd that does roughly 90% on-road, 10% access tracks.

Pros: very happy

I’ve ran g2’s since 2014ish. I’ll never own another tire. They perform well, last up to and OVER the 60k warranty, ride well and look great. I recommend them to everyone.

Pros: perform well, look great

YOKOHAMA Tires

I’ve only had snows on my Crosstreks, but have driven on snow with stock tires with a friends Crosstrek. I live in an area that gets about 220 inches of snow a year, plus shoulder seasons of slush and ice. This is how I’d rank them-

Better- Crosstrek on stock- ok

Pros: ok on snow
Vehicle: Subaru

I was not a fan of these tires in the snow. Never seemed to have an issue getting the car going, but did have the car oversteer and slide in the snow a few times.

Pros: car going
Cons: oversteer and slide
