I bought [Toyo Observe GSi5](http://www.toyotires.ca/tire/pattern/observe-gsi5) for my car, I've no problems with them after three winters, driven country roads without slippage either.
I had P7s(17\") installed on my 2013 SEL 4 weeks ago and the difference with the crappy Hankooks is night and day...quieter,braking and handling are transformed.
I went by the specs and got 225/40/18. They fit well and have a much wider tread and overall look than the stock Pirelli P7s I replaced.
I went with the Pirelli. I'm in Seattle, and had a chance to push them in the recent rain. Great traction in the wet, reasonable traction in dry, low road noise and reasonable comfort at 39/37psi. Very pleased with the tires.
I have the Pirelli P Zero Nero All seasons, and live in Wisconsin. I still have dedicated snow tires, but am happy with the all seasons.
Replaced the factory Conti's with less than 20k on them with the Pirelli P7's and I can report they are a better tire. Road noise is reduced, handling in snow and rain improved.
I autocrossed my car in the Houston SCCA, NGS class back in early June 2015. Car did great, and I have a non PP car. I'm gonna be upgrading to ECS red stuff pads, and stainless steel brake lines for next months autocross. The only complaints I have are the crappy stock Pirelli P7 tires but I will upgrade them when its time to replace those.
The P Zero Neros were not that great in snow, so unless the Falkens are spinning in thier tracks I can't imagine a great improvement there.
We sold these at the tire center a I worked at. We rarely had a repeat customer get them twice. They always upgraded to the Toyo MT, and that wasn't us being pushy salesmen. We always asked why, and the regular complaints were the loud drone from the tires at freeway speeds and they didn't last for jack under the heavier trucks. 40K miles was on the high side of things.
Similar story: a lovely pothole seemingly gave me a flat (felt really jarring) on one of my Pirelli Sottozero 3s. Was flat within 10 minutes...Turns out the pothole actually cracked the rim (which caused the flat) and then the short time I drove on it mostly flat, had ruined the sidewall on the tire as well.
