Tires Pirelli or OEM Chevrolet

Pirelli Tires

I love my PZero TLR Road tires. I also have tried the Specialized S-Works Mondo's. I can buy them cheap, but I opted to buy another set of the Pirelli's.

Pros: love the tires, good value

I’m running the pirellis. Fantastic tire, they are a new all season tire and are pretty much the same as the contis. Pirellis has multiple different types of all seasons that are genuinely pretty bad but these ones are really good. Quiet, comfortable and can grip the road so very well. I was hesitant when I was buying them as I was looking at the contis since it’s been on the market much longer but I’m really happy I went with the pirellis. Either way you cannot go wrong.

For reference I’m running this on a built golf r pushing over 4xx hp and they are fantastic, they feel much better than the indy500’s I was running before and they feel identical to the dws cars I’ve been in.

Pros: quiet, comfortable, grip road well
Cons: some Pirellis are bad

Tire store employees say Conti is best overall. I have the Pirellis and hard to imagine a quiter, smoother, UHP all season.

Pros: quieter, smoother, UHP all season

For 7k you should be able to find pretty good tyres for your Volvo. I looked around a bit this year and found last years NAF test winner for under 10k for a bigger dimension for my car, including mounting on rims. Look for the ones from NAF tyre test just under the winner, like the Pirellis that scored okay but not great are within your price range, at least here in Norway, and way safer than these unknown China tyres.

Pros: good quality tires available
Cons: unknown China tires are unsafe
Vehicle: Volvo

That Pirelli P4 is one of the longest lasting but hardest rubber they make. So not good traction but great for cranking lots of summer miles.

Pros: longest lasting, great miles
Cons: not good traction

Theoretically, the Michelin will last longer and you can use tread ware warranty. My Pirelli lasted 26,000 si hoping to get more out of the Michelin.

Pros: last longer, tread warranty
Mileage: 41843 km

They are ass, also already replaced 2 of them because they got bubbles on the side.

Had to replace them on my 22 K5 as well because they had already gone bald in places by the time of my first inspection

Cons: bubbles on the side
Vehicle: Kia
