I can personally recommend Michelin cross climate 2 tires. Like it’s on rails and no hydroplaning
Replaced the stock pzeros on my RS6 with Michelin PS4S and love them!
I run Michelin Cross Climate 2’s and they are my favorite all time tire. In my area we get snow but not so much that I **need** dedicated snow tires. I had them on previous cars and with the CC2’s I never felt the need. I love them so much. Awesome tread pattern, great handling, I feel so well connected to the road. They are the tiniest bit louder than my previous but now years later I don’t notice it or think about it.
this spring i bought michelin cross climate 2’s for a 3rd gen CRV and am very happy. i looked at the defender 2 but since i do some gravel/dirt roads in the summer the cross climate has a much better tread design
Honestly they have 90% of the grip of an average summer tire with twice the tread life.
Michelin: dura muito, gruda muito no piso molhado, macio, vale MUITO a pena. Já nos salvou de batida.
Agora falando de performance, eu iria de Michelin.
Michelins with the laser burned sidewall details that are dark black and slightly fuzzy.
I had commander 2s on my V-Star 650 and commander 3s on my Road Star. They perform pretty similarly in my opinion. My only gripe with the 3s is that they get this harmonic resonance at certain speeds. I thought my engine was having a fit. Turns out it wasn't the engine, the 3s just like to hit that sweet spot and send vibrations in waves. It's hard to describe.
Thoughts on CrossClimate2 for San Francisco/CA climate? Considering these for 2020 Kia Niro EV to replace current OEM Michelin Primacy MXV4, which we have found to be terribly un-grippy in rain.
