Tires MICHELIN or Sailun

Sailun Tires

As someone with 180,000 on a Tesla and tried both LRR/EV/non-ev tires, YES!! So far my favorite for efficiency is the Sailun E-Range tire, second is Michelin MXM4.

Pros: good efficiency
Cons: terrible in ice/snow
Mileage: 180000 km

MICHELIN Tires

I had put Michelin Crossclimate 2 tires on my Model 3. I lost about 10% range but gained a much better traction in rain and snow.

Pros: better traction in rain/snow
Cons: lost about 10% range

Sailun Tires

I have sailun e-range EV tires and they've been great for 8K miles so far. People (who don't own them) crap on these tires because they're not a big name but you can't beat the price. As far as traction, they did the trick avoiding a deer on the interstate with a hard brake and little evasive maneuver.

Pros: great traction, good price
Cons: not a big name
Mileage: 12875 km

Michelin - I've had the Pilot Super Sport and Pilot AS4+. They're definitely not cheap, but hands down superior to the Continental equivalent. The AS4+ is almost grippy enough to compete with the Conti summer tire, while also being quieter and producing slightly higher gas mileage.

Pros: superior to Continental, quieter
Cons: definitely not cheap

MICHELIN Tires

I've rocked Michelin AS4 (and their predecessor) for years in my cars...Zero issues and only switched to the Continental just to try something different...the performance they can now get out of all season tires is pretty impressive.

Pros: impressive performance, zero issues

MICHELIN Tires

As much as I love the Continental DWS 06+, I needed to purchase a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires. The Continental DWS 06+ were fine. I got by the Winter without problems. There were only 3 times that I felt that I could use a more Winter like tire.

Pros: fine, got by winter
Cons: could use winter tire

MICHELIN Tires

Our CrossClimates after being fitted mid-2020. The outers are at 3mm, and the inner 4mm. Over 30k miles. Seems acceptable to me. Ours are on a Freelander 2/LR2, so a relatively heavy vehicle.

Pros: acceptable wear, good mileage
Vehicle: Land Rover Freelander
Mileage: 30000 km

MICHELIN Tires

I hated my geolanders and was so glad to get rid of them. True that my only off roading is forest roads but I have a set of Michelin defenders that takes on everything from dry slalom’s to loose forest road hills and snow with quiet confidence.

Pros: confidence on various terrains
Cons: hated geolanders
