i got the defenders about 500 miles ago and like them.

the ride is more comfortable and i like the look. i do hear a little bit of road noise, but assuming i get close to the life i’m supposed to from them, it’ll be worth it.

Pros: comfortable ride, good look
Cons: little road noise
Mileage: 804 km

I was actively avoiding driving with the Kinergys if rain was predicted. Hated to dump almost new tires but first rain test the other night with the Michelins and they were amazing.

Pros: they were amazing
Cons: avoiding driving if rain

Look into the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Great tire and better tread wear.

Pros: great tire
Cons: better tread wear

Well you get what you pay for in tires. Chinese tires I get 1 season out of (I drive a lot) name brand such as Michelin 3 years. Name brand rides better, quieter, wear better.

Pros: rides better, quieter
Cons: one season only

I'm glad. I got tires for my suv for 130$ a tire and they are going strong 4 years later. Last set i had on the same car were Michelin for 210$ per and they wore out after 3 years.

Pros: going strong 4 years
Cons: wore out after 3

Like others on here, Michelin PS4S.

I bought my 2019 GLI with about 8k miles on it and noticed fairly quickly especially in the rain, the stock tires just didn’t cut it, so those got swapped out about 1500 miles later (under 10k). Great upgrade, no regrets.

Pros: great upgrade, no regrets
Cons: stock tires didn’t cut it
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 8000 km

My winters aren't too different, and I've had or have all of them: Pilot Alpin, X-Ice Snow, and CC2 (all North American versions). The CC2 were just too floppy and imprecise for me, and that's on a modified daily driver crossover. On a 986 the steering and handling response would be damaged noticeably over Pilot Alpins imo. If you're a fan of feel (and likely traction overall, honestly), get the UHP winters. They're by far my category of choice because of the sporty feel they maintain on performance cars.

Pros: sporty feel, good traction
Cons: floppy, imprecise
Vehicle: Porsche

I just got them on my civic lx and it good and all but I swear they are hella sensitive, any slight movement of the steering wheel and my car is swerving left or right, unlike my old tires which were old but I wouldn't be swerving. Like when I try to change lanes on highways it swerves and lifts a bit on the back. Anyone know why?

Pros: good and all
Cons: hella sensitive, car swerving
Vehicle: Honda Civic
