Having run continental DWS 06s for many non-summers. And this past season trying the competing Michelin. My perception is that the Michelins are quieter on rough surfaces, chip seal etc...
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season. Second best all-season tire I’ve found. The best was the Vredestein Hypertrac, and it’s 20% cheaper than the rest.
Personally, I have always had really good results with Michelin, mostly good results with Yokohama (the S7 Advan tires were a little disappointing on my TL), mediocre results at best with Bridgestone, and generally bad results in Pirelli.
Michelin by far. I have Pilot Sport AS3+ on my car, and they’re fantastic.
Personally I’ve been buying Michelin pilot sports and I don’t see it changing any time soon at this point
It’s the best tire I’ve purchased over the years and until I drive something better I can’t justify any other brand
I’ve had loads of pirellis too, and they were my go to prior to the Michelins,
Performance in rain on the pilot sports is what really sets them apart for me. Might as well be dry roads 24/7 with those things
Michelin, for the win. They have stronger sidewalls
I put a set of Michelin Crossclimate 2 on my 2016 OBL over a year and a half ago and would not switch to or recommend any other tire for all around use here in New England. Amazing traction in any kind of situation I've been in.
The first time I put Michelin Pilot Supersports on my E92 BMW I was awestruck. Not only were those tires amazing, but they were replacing runflats which were garbage in any metric besides their ability to run flat which I never used.
I just put a set on my CX-30 350 miles ago and had two issues. They were loud, stuff and bumpy so I checked them at home and brought them down to factory specs and they got much quieter and smoother.
Th Michelins that came on my wife's '12 Escape hadvcracked sidewalls. There was an issue with some Michelins back then. Her tire model was in the recall, but not her size.
