I ran 3 sets of the FK510 on my Golf. They were really good as an all around tire. On the track, they were very grippy and didn't get greasy very easily.
On my second set of wildpeaks on my 4R. Third set overall Killer tire ????????
I replaced the stock Michelin Energy Saver set with Michelin Defender2 last year. Never going back.
Definitely better grip and handling, especially when wet. There was an impact to range but it was pretty negligible.
Pick up some Michelin Cross Climate 2’s. Triple peak snow rated, 60k miles, and perform well even in the heat.
I bought all weather Michelin cross climate2 tires. I don’t want to have 2 sets of tires. I live in southern Ontario and we get snow yes but roads are generally taken care of well and I don’t go North at all.
I put good winter tires on it (Michelin X-Ice Snow EV) and I’ve not had an issue with RWD. Today was the first day I’ve driven it in pure winter conditions and it was a dream to drive.
I bought these when living in Western Colorado and they did great for last winter. I also had a great experience with them in the PNW/Western Oregon in a more rainy than snowy climate. They were about $1000 total and came with a reasonable warranty which I recommend for any AWD vehicle.
I do notice that they can be loud but I don't care. They also seem to decrease fuel efficiency but I am okay with that since I am starting with high efficiency in the first place.
recently replaced OEM falken on my 21 CE for some Pilot sports and smh.. idk why i waited so long. car feels so great driving. tires have great grip. corners takign with ease. and if acceleration is amazing.
Ages ago my boss put Falken on the company van. They lasted about 20,000 miles
At first I thought they were decent but now at 20k miles they don't grip nearly as well, even with my AWD. I turned off traction control the other day and with a damp road (not raining) I did a 4 wheel burnout up to about 50 mph.
