Tires Falken or Vredestein

Falken Tires

I switched to Falken wild peaks 2 winters ago and have been very pleased in all conditions. I'm up north, tons of snow and ice. Plenty of mud in spring.

Pros: very pleased, good in all conditions, good in snow, good on ice, good in mud

It's really surprising how much the ride feels more like a truck now. It must be the side walls, but it's definitely better over the rough stuff too.

Pros: better over rough terrain
Cons: ride feels like a truck

I replaced mine at 39k. I went with Falken Azenis FK460, All Seasons. I live in the Boston area. This will be my second winter with them. So far, so great..

Pros: great performance, good for winter
Mileage: 39000 km

I’ve had very good experience with Vredestein tires. Ive had them on Mercedes and Nissan and they were comfortable, quiet, and had decent all season handling.

Pros: comfortable, quiet, decent handling

Falken Wildpeaks are the worst A/Ts I've run. Hard as hell and sketchy in the rain. I only had 20k ish miles before I sold them, but they were progressively getting louder.

Cons: hard, sketchy in rain
Mileage: 20000 km

Mine were down to 50% tread and didn't have enough traction on snow at ~20k miles. If you drive on serious snow, consider getting rid of them by 15 to 20k miles.

Cons: not enough traction
Mileage: 32187 km
