I’ve had quite a few and overall, my favorite is the Falkin Wildpeak AT3. They’re the most aggressive looking, deeper tread than some, good warranty, reasonable priced, lightweight compared to a K02 and also a light quieter on road than a K02.

Pros: aggressive looking, deeper tread
Cons: none

Cooper Tires

Cooper AT3's, 215/70-16 to fit an 04 FXT. Fantastic tires, even does great in the snow down to about 20F (or did when new, they're 50-60% worn now and pretty scary on ice, as are all AT tires).

Pros: fantastic tires, great in snow
Cons: scary on ice when worn

Falken tires are amazing! Sumitomo Heavy Industries, yo. Didn't use the Falken all-seasons that long, because I sold the car.

Pros: amazing tires

I’m on my 3rd set of Falken AZENIS RT615K+ (I have two sets mount right now, one set has been to the dragon twice now. The other set is brand new on a set of LMs I haven’t run yet) First set I had I racked up about 20k miles in 2019 and 2020. I hit Wookies, alpine vagfair, spring breakdown, Radwood Detroit, EuroSummit, trips all over for daily driving. Rain isn’t a concern at all, standing water, slushy rain the tire is phenomenal as shown this past weekend at the tail of the dragon.

Pros: phenomenal in rain, great grip
Mileage: 20000 km

Falken Tires

I’ve had both Terra’s and Wildpeaks. The wildpeakes outperform the Terra’s in every situation and they look a lot better as well.

Pros: outperform in every situation

Around Thanksgiving last year, I had two Michelin MXV4 Eco+ OEM stock tires that were worn and need of replacing. I followed suggestions of colleagues and Consumer Reports and bought two Falken Ziex ZE-512, and installed them on the front of my 1998.5 Turbo Passat Wagon. Although I kept the same size (195/65/R15) I was impressed immediately: much better handling, steering response, road feel, as well as seriously improved wet and dry grip. Extremely stable at 90mph+ speeds, and good cornering. After about 1000 miles however, I thought I had front-end or transmission problems, as there was this terrible WHOO=WHOO sound coming from the front. I took it to a shop and they said no trouble, just tire noise. Noise worsened, so took to VW dealer in Maine while on the road; they said that car was aligned perfectly per spec, but Falken tires were \"cupped\", and worn on the inside.

Pros: better handling, improved grip
Cons: excessive tire noise, cupped
Mileage: 1609 km

* Excellent on road manners

* Quiet, smooth.

* Even tread ware

* AWFUL (I.E. not safe) Snow and ice performance

* Poor mud traction, poor gravel traction, mehh wet traction.

Pros: Excellent on road manners
Cons: AWFUL snow and ice performance
Vehicle: Land Rover
Mileage: 80000 km
