I’ve got Dunlop Winter Sport 5 195/55 R16 87H and they’re great. Consumption, noise and grip all well balanced.

Pros: grip all well balanced
Cons: noise
Vehicle: MINI

Cooper Tires

I’ve ran BFG KO2, Cooper AT3, Cooper STT Pro, and Cooper ST Maxx. All of them have been good tires but my favorite by far were the ST Maxx.

Pros: all have been good

Cooper Tires

Replaced with Cooper AT3 XLT, which also have the RWL sidewall like the STT, and am over 50% tread at 38k miles. They are quieter, too.

Pros: quieter, over 50% tread
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 38000 km

Cooper Tires

Coopers, they performed better year round mud-ice/snow over the BFG. I’ve been hearing a lot about balancing issues with BFG from the tire shop we use too.

Pros: performed better year round
Cons: balancing issues with BFG

DUNLOP Tires

Personally, I thought they were ok, during summer they handled great. Never felt uncomfortable in the rain or snow either. But once they finally wore out (and I mean…nothing was left on them), I swapped them for a pair of Nitto Neo Gen, their better and I feel like they grip a ton

Pros: handled great during summer
Cons: wore out quickly

The Dunlops didn’t seem all that grippy though; I felt the rear start to slide out inexplicably on a tight turn on a clean road that was only slightly rough and I didn’t feel like I was really pushing the bike all that much - just light throttle and was riding smoothly.

Cons: not very grippy
Mileage: 4000 km

Which slick do you have exactly? I ran the d212 medium and endurance. Absolutely hated them. The medium got destroyed in one day. Started losing grip after 3 sessions already. Then I tried the endurance compound, but it also lasted only 2 days and kept losing grip. Apparently they are very sensitive to pressure, temperature and shock settings.

Cons: losing grip, sensitive
