The continental terra speed tires are only a watt or two slower than the gravel king slicks.
I decided to switch to Continental PureContact tires as they are better rated and less expensive and still are low rolling resistance. I haven’t noticed any loss in range.
PS - for what it’s worth, my snow tires are Continental WinterContacts and I’ve run them for about 6 years so far and I still have over 60% tread left. They’re fantastic.
They’re good tires, the best tires I’ve ever had were Continentals, but these feel solid.
I run conti dws06 on my gti here in the PNW they're great in the dry and wet!
I’m running continental extremecontact dws06 on my rwd coupe.
Continental PureContact LS are probably the best performance all season. They have a 60k mile tread life, perform very well on dry and wet road, but they are a bit on the pricier side.
I'm running the achilles atr sport 2s. These are a cheap tire and won't compare to a michelin or conti but they're pretty good for the price. I have about 30k miles on them, they got me through utah mountain winters, and I've been running -2.5 degrees of camber all around. So for the money they did their job.
I run DWS06s on the 19 cadiz... have been for ~48k now. The rears are still almost to the wear bars, and the fronts were replaced just over ~3k ago. I live in Lorton/DC area... commute into the city. Yes, they're squishy for the first 2k... then they square up.
My stock contis didn't last 20k miles which blows in my book and braking was not good. I'll probably fork out for Michelin mxm4 and be set for a few years.
