Tires Continental or Achilles

Continental Tires

Highly recommend Conti Dws 06. While not as sticky on dry compared to the Dunlop’s I had zero issues last winter.

Pros: zero issues last winter
Cons: not as sticky on dry

I use the DWS06 currently, used on 17 CWP as well. I only notice the sidewall negatively when trying to take highway on-ramp curve at high speeds. But even then it’s not dramatically different than stock Dunlop’s. I actually enjoy them more during the rest of driving because of smoothness.

Pros: smoothness during driving
Cons: sidewall negatively at high speeds

Achilles Tires

I run Achilles atr sport 2s on everything super cheap pretty good grip on dry. Could be better in the wet but even in the rain in my 350z with no driver aids I’ve never once felt unsafe due to tires

Pros: good grip on dry, super cheap
Cons: could be better in wet
Vehicle: Nissan

I loved the Conti viking 7's on my rav4 so much, I sold the Xi3's on my Prius Prime and switched to Contis as well. 225/45/17 mounted on 17x7. They seem to wear about as well as the Michelins but they grip much better in all weather conditions, are quieter than the already very quiet Xi3, and the handling is firmer.

Pros: grip much better, quieter
Vehicle: Toyota

Continental Tires

I went through a few sets of DW's on my mk4. I finally caved and bought PSS's and will never go back. The wet performance was unreal on the DW's, but they left a lot to be desired in the dry after having some time with PSS's.

Pros: unreal wet performance (DW)
Cons: lacked dry performance (DW)

Continental Tires

There's a vendor on the west coast that sells a couple of Continental tires, but I can't find the link. I didn't get them because, one, they were about $140 each, and two, according to owner reports on the Tire Rack, they're not that good a tire.

Pros: owner reports available
Cons: not that good, expensive
