Stock tires from 2023 Golf R, the car was delivered on 1/20/23 with 7 miles on the odometer and I put on another 20 miles to the tire shop to swap them for all-seasons. Tires are like new with less than 30 miles.
They’re a brilliant tire, and I can’t imagine the Defenders being superior to the intended use. Basing that off extensive experience with the old LTX MS2’s, which were also great. I guess my point is **Bridgestone is making really good tires right now**.
I was a fan of Bridgestones, had some turanza Serenities on my mk5 and before that my old 960 wagon.
Dramatically better traction, specifically when driving through parking lots that were plowed, but now there's 2-4 inches of loose snow you have to go through. Just driving out of the parking lot after installation I had way way better grip.
It's like going from 30% grip to 80% grip.
The improved snow traction is amazing. Living in Minnesota I will never put a tire without the 3Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol on a car I own again
Bridgestone Driveguards if you want RFTs. driveguards are near silent unless you're in dire need of suspension work
Bridgestone Blizzaks or Michelin Crossclimate 2’s.
Love my Blizzaks. I live where we get 450” of snow.
The Westlakes are an Off Brand, they are cheap and you get what you pay for, but they are decent have sold lots of these with no issues.
This is true, we had a few avalons here with Bridgestone Turanza's with something called "radial pull" and its a tire defect that causes car to pull to one side or another because there is a defect with the tire construction.
I have a 2016 Golf S AT, and love it, except for the 15" Bridgestone Ecopias which are terrible tires.
