NGK v-power's. they are the entry level plug but they work awesome. there's no real need to get super pimp plugs though, i mean, it's not like they are going to add 10hp or anything

Pros: work awesome

NGK Spark plug

I have had no problems using the NGK BKR5EKU plugs. I do not spend the extra money for the platinum version. The copper plugs are fine.

Pros: no problems using
Part number: BKR5EKU

NGK Spark plug

On a stock or chipped VR, the NGK platinum OEM plugs (BKR5EKUP) are pretty good. I have tried the Bosch F6DTC (16V copper plugs) and NGK R5671A-7 (copper) for about 10K and 6K miles respectively on my supercharged VR and both seem equally good.

Pros: equally good
Mileage: 10000 km
Part number: BKR5EKUP

i had a buddy purchase me a set of bosch platinum plugs. i installed the plugs this morning before going to work, removing the old plugs, i found the number 1 and number 2 are wet with fuel. after installing the platinum plugs, i cranked the engine. and it started! the idle was smooth. i took my vw to work today, and the engine pulled smoothly in all rpms!

Pros: smooth idle, engine pulled smoothly
Cons: old plugs wet with fuel

NGK Spark plug

FWIW.....an electrical engineer friend of mine with a custom turbo BMW z-3 with over 500hp/500ftlbs at the wheels, did the homework and said NGK is one bad A$$ plug......he said unless you get into the really specialty racing plugs NGK is where it's at.....i say for the same money go NGK as soon as i get 20,000 on my 03 the NGK's you mentioned are going in for sure...$2.50ea was what i was quoted near me seems cheap enough compared to the $17ea BMW plugs i sell at work

Pros: NGK is one bad A$$ plug
Vehicle: BMW Z3
Mileage: 20000 km

I've noticed something interesting about the NGK BKR6E's that I'm running. #1 - They respond extremely well to the chip and the N75 J valve. #2 - I've also lowered my gap from .032\" (stock spec) to .028\" to reduce the possibility of misfires under high boost. The bottom line is that the BKR6E at .028\" is a great plug for the 1.8T AEB motor.

Pros: responds well to chip, reduces misfires, great plug
Part number: BKR6E

I got W7DC spark plugs from the local foreign parts place...performance hasn't been ideal, and I've already looked at some of the other common issues; I'm considering new plugs in part due to fouling (bad CTS, drove with a failed CTS for too long, lots of carbon on the plugs...cleaned them up some, but I'm not convinced they're OK).

Cons: performance hasn't been ideal

i have never heard a good thing about the Plus 4's, lots of the VR6 people stay away from them. one of my VR6 buddies had some that were trashed in a short period, nothing wrong with his car just the VR didn't like the plugs. i have had them in my Frontier and pulled them out after about 10k miles they looked ok but truck didn't like them. yes they were gapped correctly, went back with the NGK's that were OEM and truck ran better. better how? smoother, no hesitation and all i did was change plugs back and forth. nothing else was done to the truck. i know this post is vague but i don't have any techie stuff to back it up, what i am baseing this post on is experience with my Nissan and witnessing what my buddy had happen. yes the plus 4's have a lifetime warranty and are not that pricey, but i'll bet you won't notice any gain on mileage or performance, unless your current plugs are way past their prime.

Pros: lifetime warranty, not pricey
Cons: trashed quickly, truck didn't like, no gain performance
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 16093 km
