I have b4 shocks for sport suspension, the ride is never harsh, takes hits and potholes very well, but when cruising down a freeway the car is a little busy feeling as in firm/ with a slight jiggle but never harsh if that makes sense
Handles very well on backroads,
I have a 2017 that I did 6112/5160s on and it's hands down my favorite mod.
I really like how my Bilstein 5100s ride. They have different notches in the body for the different height settings from stock to 2.5" lift, iirc. I originally had mine at the stock, but put them one below the top height shortly afterward. Night and day difference in ride quality in both settings over the worn-out stockers.
Billstein 5100s are pretty affordable ($130 each) and will perform better than the stock shocks. They’re pretty much the gold standard for value/performance for most midsize and full size trucks.
Just swapping to konis with stock everything else on my 325ic made a huge difference for autox. Comfy enough for thousands at a time lol.
I have the bilsteins, very happy with them.
How are the bilstein b4s holding up
My personal AT4 has Bilsteins on all four corners and it’s SOLID. A nice firm and consistent ride.
Ended up swapping the fronts for 5100’s, while for my drive style they handle exactly as i need them too it’s a lil harsh for me on the smaller bumps so i’m debating on going with a coilover or the next option up from bilstein
B4s are below the level of stock replacement, at least for the 335 and 340. I used them previously on my E92 335i, and they were blown after 15k miles.
