Shock absorbers Bilstein or Dobinsons

Bilstein Shock absorbers

Billstein 5100s are pretty affordable ($130 each) and will perform better than the stock shocks. They’re pretty much the gold standard for value/performance for most midsize and full size trucks.

Pros: affordable, better performance

Dobinsons Shock absorbers

Happy to report Dobinsons MRA92-A2522 12” travel fit quite neatly in the Archive Shock relo. The 3-way adjustment and massive finned external reservoir are clutch. The ride is massively improved.

Pros: ride massively improved
Part number: MRA92-A2522

For the actual shocks, I used BILSTEIN. B6 in the rear, B8 in the front. LOVE THEM. Drive an X6 though, stiff at first but after a work in really smooth.

Pros: smooth ride, loved them
Cons: stiff at first
Vehicle: BMW X6

Bilstein Shock absorbers

I currently run Bilsteins, but looking to change to BC Racing ones. Only cos the rear on the Bilsteins don't go low enough (3 finger gap at the lowest rear setting).

Cons: don't go low enough
Vehicle: Fiat 500

Bilstein 5100 are trash unless you're just doing pavement princess driving. Teeth shattering stiffness. I hate them.

Cons: Teeth shattering stiffness
