I’ve used Mobile 1 full synthetic for years, most manufacturers warranty it.
i have a 5qt of Mobil 1 sitting around in case i ever need to take it in for warranty work.
I run Mobil 1 15w50 in Colorado in my 1.8 8v 85 GTi. For camshaft insurance I add a zinc additive at oil change time.
I use Mobil 1 15W50 zddp conent is higher than regular oil.

Stick with 5W50. Brand doesn’t matter as long as it’s a quality supplier. I used Mobil 1 in the beginning
Always used M1 on my 30 year old Celica/camry. They both run flawlessly. Done over 30 changes on the Celica (160k miles)
Mobil 1 has never failed me over 3 Wrx’s and 1 Brz and an old forester
I run 10-40 mobil1 in my VR now. had 5-30 and it ran just about the same, didnt notice any difference really.
BTW, Mobil runs hotter in my car.
