Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or OEM Honda
Been using Liqui Moly since last 4 changes when a mechanic got emotional explaining how Mobil 1 is good, but if you are going such a long trip, oh man got for Liqui Moly, the best of the best, his reaction was almost orgasmic.
And I have loved the performance, lower noise, possibly good fuel economy, a 30 mpg+ on a 7k km trip last year.
For anyone who doesn't mind spending an extra buck, try Liqui Moly.
I used this because it was on sale:
Liqui Moly - 0w-30 Oil (5 Liter) Top Tec 4210 (504.00/507.00 spec)
I figure if it meets spec, cheaper is better for a midcycle top change.
I use Rowe oil or LiquiMoly in my TDI, been happy with either.
I have used it cause it has less oil consumption for me and it has kept everything very clean inside like sludge. My mk6 2.5 loves it and runs like a champ.
Never had issues with LiquiMoly.
doesnt matter. i use liquomoly personally. buy through fcp euro to get free refills
I have been using green moly in both of my 7.5 golfs for year it is great.
Like if using Liquid Moly Mos2 leichtlauf has help quieten my engine ticking noise (mileage about 100k km).
My 2015 1.8 used to drink a piss load of oil when I first got it at about 100k miles. I switched to Liquid Moly or Mobil 5w40 every 7500 miles and it stopped on it’s own.
I am burning around 0.75qt every 2k KM (1200 miles). I've also tried all the vw508 different oils hoping for a better outcome (vw brand oil, liqui moly 6200, motul specific 508) but no change really. at this point i live with it but always carry around a spare 1-2qt if you are travelling far away in the back.
