I’m a fan of the Hawk HP+ track pads! The bite and fade resistance is excellent. They’re a little squeaky on the street but not terrible.

Pros: excellent bite, fade resistance
Cons: squeaky on street

I autocross a bit and went with Hawk rotors and pads from Tirerack after a bit of mulling it over. Overall fairly happy with them, a little dusty but have NEVER faded while on them hard. Put maybe a hard 5k miles on them so far.

edit- I do have a 1.8 and as mentioned at least once you should consider getting the 1.8's calipers.

Pros: never faded, good performance
Cons: a little dusty
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 5000 km

I run hawk hps pads on my NA. They've held up to entry level track work and not made much noise on the street. Feel fine when I choose to drive the Miata to work.

Pros: held up to track work
Cons: null
Vehicle: Mazda

Just switched from Stoptech street pads + stoptech drilled and slotted rotors to zimmerman cross drilled rotors with hawk hps5.0 pads. Must say I like my Zimmerman + Hawk setup a lot.

Pros: good setup

I have been running Hawk HPS 5.0 front and back since my 2019 Stinger GT. Put them on my G70 within the first 500 miles to save the rotors. They do squeak a bit, but they stop without fail and after 35k on my Stinger, never once did I get any vibration on braking.

Pros: reliable stopping, no vibration
Cons: squeaking noise
Mileage: 35000 km

I recently did the Hawk 5.0 pads and they are lacking on initial bite. Bit disappointing. Much better for repeated breaking tho, as they warm up.

Pros: better for repeated breaking
Cons: lacking on initial bite

Hawk Performance Brake pads

I used these Hawk brake pads for a HPDE track day so they did get very hot. They still have 10mm of thickness left, but this particular pad has these very pronounced cracks. All other pads have very minor cracks (barely visible), but this one was the worst.

Pros: 10mm thickness remaining
Cons: pronounced cracks

Hawk Performance Brake pads

Complete ripoff. Subaru tried that years ago on my STI, I bought Hawk track pads and did it myself (as I would have done anyway). The dealer tried the ol' "These are high end calipers and the pads are much more difficult to change". I just said "Please stop lying to me, you're eroding trust between us" and left. Easiest brakes ever.

Pros: easy installation, cost savings
Cons: dealer dishonesty, high price
Vehicle: Subaru
