Brake pads Hawk Performance or Tesla

I got Hawk HPS pads recently on my 987.2 Cayman and they definitely have less dust and equal or better braking power.

Also the Hawk 5.0 pads are GREAT.. squeak a bit, but they are a high torque ceramic pad which have great bite. They dust like crazy.

Bought Audi S3 caliper from a wreck yard on eBay. Also used Hawk 5.0 pads. Tremendous brake upgrade.

For me, these were the Hawk HPS 5.0 and G-Loc R12 pads.

This time, I had some Hawk 5.0 brake pads and Motul 600 brake fluid installed. The better pads, and especially the high-temp brake fluid have me peace-of-mind so I could focus on the business of driving and continuing to learn the track and the car. Made a HUGE difference.

I have the Hawk HPS Street pads on the front and rear of my 2012 tC which are paired with Stoptech slotted rotors and I love them. They bite really well after they warm up a little but if you need to stop fast they will perform very well.

Hawk hps brake pads, best bang for buck, imo. I would replace the rotors if they are starting to develop a lip at the edge of the rotor. So by looking or feeling the rotor when it’s cold or you haven’t driven it for a while. Again test when cold, never hot. If they do need replacing you can check out ECS tuning and they usually have a brake pad + brake rotor combo deal, I believe it’s under their maintenance or performance section on their page, also filter out using your car make and model. I bought the drilled slotted and hawk pads combo from ecs and have them on my car now. Definitely improves the brake pedal feel tremendously, would recommend.

Hawk HPS Pads

Driving the Golf R made me not buy it. I have a 2009 MKV TSI base model 6mt with APR Stg 2 (intake, chip, downpipe) upgraded stock brakes (hawk HPS, ss lines, dot 4 fluid), KW V3 coilovers (both rebound and compression adjustable) and it was faster, handled better and braked similarly to the Golf R.

The M240i needed new pads and rotors. I order HPS 5.0 + Zimmerman rotors from FCP's site which says they're compatible. I install them and the car sounds like a jalopy. Loud wub wub wub under braking and only braking, more pressure == more loud. It sounds like it's coming from both fronts.
