Good braking, squeak free, low dust. The OE pads are great. They have good initial bite, no noise, high quality but they are semi-metallic so they make a bunch of dust. There are ceramic pad options that are low dust but they can be squeaky and won’t perform that great until they are warmed up. And of course you can get bargain bin organic pads which will have low dust but won’t perform nearly as well as stock. It’s a trade off no matter what. I went with the OE Jurid pads. I’d rather clean my wheels than lose braking performance or deal with noise. Also keep in mind that the rotors matter with noise and dust too.

Pros: good initial bite, high quality
Cons: lots of dust, semi-metallic

I've had good results with Ferodo DS2500 pads. More torque than stock, dusting about the same.

Pros: more torque than stock
Cons: dusting about the same

I love the Ferodo DS 1.11 that I use on my M4. They're noisy and the dust is epic but they're totally fine to drive to and from the track. I've used them at a few track days at California Speedway, they're wearing really well, and I've never had even the slightest fade.

Pros: good wear, no fade
Cons: noisy, dusty
Vehicle: BMW M4

For \~$250, the Ferodo DS2500's are a great pad for dual street/spirited and light/medium track use. With any semi-metallic pad, you're going to have dust. You can't really substantially reduce dusting without going to something like ceramic pads, which then frictional force is compromised.

Pros: great for track use
Cons: lots of dust

The heat resistance is much better than the stock pads, so it'd take a lot more to make these pads fade. They are more durable as well at least according to my experience. The only issues are that when it's cold the pads do get a little noisy and there's the increased brake dust, but I think these are non major issues and worthy of the trade off for much better and reliable braking performance.

Pros: better heat resistance, more durable
Cons: noisy when cold, increased brake dust

I have Ferodo DS2500 pads on my 987 Cayman. They are a good pad for street/track duty and it seems they come recommended on the forums. Just remember a dual purpose pads are okay for street and track, but not great in either.

Pros: good for street/track
Cons: not great in either
Vehicle: MAN

For my 987 the pagids would squeal the most. PFC08 weren’t as bad with similar performance. If you want a hybrid street/track pad that will be pretty quiet on the street (as long as you bed properly) the Ferodo DS2500 is not bad, just be aware if you’re tracking on them at a good pace under heavy braking they can wear quickly. I ran them at the glen and was able to get maybe 3 good days out of a set.

Pros: quiet on street, good performance
Cons: wears quickly under heavy braking

In hindsight, however, I do drive 15 miles up/down/through a mountain pass 5 days a week. That’s gotta be the culprit!

Cons: rapid wear
