I have a set of track pads for my 2015 STI. Hawk dtc70 in the front. Hawk dtc60 in the rear. I swap them the the day before its a pretty quick job with the brembos. Very loud on the street when cold though.

Pros: quick swap, good track performance
Cons: loud when cold
Vehicle: Subaru

Hawk Performance Brake pads

Just put on new rotors and Hawk pads. Thought I had some squeaking/squealing/grinding because the old ones needed replacing but the problem persisted on the new rotors and pads even after some time.

Last week I applied some Brake Parts Grease that came with my Hawk pads to the pins and bracket on the caliper. It seems to have removed the annoying squeak!!

Pros: removed squeak with grease
Cons: squeaking/squealing/grinding
Vehicle: Honda Civic

If your just daily driving the car, with some spirited back road runs, Hawk HPS 5.0 should do the trick. Low dust, low noise, good bite, and consistent performance.

Pros: low dust, low noise, good bite

I use the Ferodo DS2500. I track my car several times a year, but it’s also a daily driver in New England winters.Been very impressed with these pads as they are absolutely silent and still bite in the cold. The only noise they make is a clunk when changing direction front to back (like reversing, then going forward again).Dust isn’t any worse than OEM, may possibly be better actually. If you don’t really care about better performance, find a ceramic pad like PosiQuiet.

Pros: silent, good cold bite, low dust
Cons: clunk when changing direction

Ferodo Brake pads

A brand new Camaro 1SS 1LE will be $45k. It's the best performance bang for buck on the market and comes pretty much built for track days- it has an extra oil cooler, transmission fluid cooler, great brakes with good street/track pads (they're basically the same as Ferrodo DS2500), and the alpha platform has unbelievable potential. The motor is easy to deal with since it's NA (linear power curve, still makes great tq at lower RPMs) and the eLSD+traction control tuning is extremely competent. I beat the absolute shit out of mine on track 1-2 times a month and it never skips a beat even in the disgusting Florida summer heat.

Pros: great brakes, competent tuning

Hawk HPS pads are a massive performance improvement over stock pads, with a more linear break feel (aka less initial bite). low dust, low noise, highly reliable.

Pros: massive performance improvement, linear brake feel, low dust, low noise, highly reliable
Cons: less initial bite

Hawk 5.0 for street/autox. I like them but they do make a fair bit of dust and maybe a little underpowered for heavy track.

Pros: good for street/autox
Cons: lots of dust, underpowered

As good as they are I had to stop using them because of the dust. Ruined the clear coat on my rims. Also the noise when coming to a gentle stop

Cons: ruined clear coat, noisy
