Brake pads EBC or ATE
EBC Red Stuff pads will fix ya up nicely. Way less dust, better performing.
I use EBC blue stuff on my Mach 1 for national competition in F Street. Coefficient of friction of .52. modulate well, try them on the street all the time, and take a pretty good beating.
Also swap out pads, I like ebc redstuff, about 20% of the dust as stock. isweeps have even less dust but don't have the bite that stock or ebcs do.
I put on EBC redstuff and they work well.
But the EBC SR11 and SR21 pads have been a game changer for us with regard to wear rate. We run these on our endurance race car and so far they have blown everything else we have tried out of the water. We just started using these so my experience is limited. But we just ran an 8 hour enduro at the ridge and used 1.5mm of front brake pad. This length of enduro at this track would usually consume an entire set of front pads down to damn near the backing plates. This is on a fox body mustang that’s 2600lbs and makes 330whp.
EBC blue on stock rotors, and stock suspension for 2 seasons so far... The pads are done, but I think I'll be getting the EBC blue again
Sounds like way too much for a basic A200. For a dealership I guess it's normal but you can get equal quality ATE brakes for much less than the original Mercedes parts.
YES! i have the same issue and its mental. DBA Slotted Rotors and the Street Performance (Green) Pads, clunk over bumps and when moving back/forward D/R etc. Rattle is 99% from the left side / without the depth check. DBA said to extend the shims so they stick out further, and it works temporarily for about a day, then back to normal. Everyone is recommending the ATE pads, so I might try them, but if these rattle too not sure what to do...
I had yellowstuffs on my e46 330i and they were gone within 3 days on track. Swapped to Pagid RSL1/29 (Front/Rear) after and never looked back
I blew through my EBCs on my VB super fast at the Glen.
