Brake pads Brembo or STOPTECH

Brembo Brake pads

Those Brembo brakes haul the car down from silly speeds repeatedly on the track with no sign of fade or sogginess.

Pros: no sign of fade
Cons: pedal requires more shove
Vehicle: Mitsubishi

As for Wilwoods - they are good but require more maintance due to the lack of a dust boot/seals on the pistons - unless they've changed that now. I had StopTech's on my TT and they were excellent. Of course i'd use Porterfield RS4 pads rather than the stock Axxis that comes with them, but I was very impressed with the fit and finish as well as overall power and modulation of the StopTechs.

Pros: excellent fit and finish, overall power and modulation
Cons: more maintance, lack of dust boot
Vehicle: Audi TT

My friend has them on his 91 MR2 and he said he can feel the diference from stock and that they squeak a tiny bit during light braking.

Pros: feel the difference
Cons: squeak a tiny bit
Vehicle: Toyota MR2

I have the Stoptech 332mm front brakes with stainless lines all around, I used Pagid Orange for the track event. They definitely performed as advertised. I had just a hair of brake fade and that is only because I was over driving the brakes. I had all the confidence in the world in those brakes.

Pros: performed as advertised
Cons: hair of brake fade
Vehicle: Audi S4

cad plated brembo cross-drilled w/ PBR metal master pads. I'm not nice to brakes (auto-x has a tendancy to do that). But, this set up has lasted me 1.5+ plus. Why should I switch to anything else? And yes, the car is driven year round.

Pros: lasted 1.5+ years

STOPTECH Brake pads

That's the standard Toe-N-Go alignment.. most "alignment" places do that, unless you go to a specialized alignment place.

Pros: standard alignment
Cons: Toe-N-Go alignment
Vehicle: Volkswagen
