Brake pads Akebono or Ferodo
Bought Akebono pads from Tire Rack...Took a test drive, and found the results to be excellent. Felt great, super quiet. The Akebono pads do not require any bed-in, so just drive off normally
Akebono pads and brembo rotors avail at fcp/ecs - best combination I’ve had so far and I’ve tried textar, pagid and trw, (trw is a close second but more dust than akebono)
Gyrodisc 2 piece rotors + Ferodo DS2500.
I have swapped between Ferodo DS2500 (street) and DS1.11 pads without issues. Just go slow to heat them up so you can get the transfer layer applied.
I’m currently running Akebono performance pads (yellow box) and they have been great! No noise, minimal brake dust and way better stopping power.
Akebono pads are pretty quiet and fairly clean too. They are OEM on some Mercedes. They are on my wife's 91 Cabriolet [w/Scirocco 16V F/R disc brakes]. Zimmerman rotors are pretty good. So are Textar.
I have a bunch of BMWs and swear by Zimmerman and Akebono. The akebono metallic pads don’t produce dust and they brake as well as the more expensive ones.
I love love love the Akebono ceramic pads for daily drivers. Little fading. Low (almost no) dust which keeps the wheels nice and clean.
Zimmerman rotors and ferodo 2500ds pads. 5 months old and used in 4 hpde. Im upgrading to a more track duty pad (hawk dtc 70)
I had Akebono pads last time out with OEM and they were great. Low dust although they wore rather quickly.
