i bought stoptech slotted rotors and stoptech performance street pads for my wife's Odyssey as a way to gauge if they were great for daily use compared to just regular rotors and upgraded pads. I can say that there is a huge difference in preventing fade and stopping power just from that kit alone
I recently did my brakes 2 weeks ago and very happy with how they came out. StopTech Centric Cryo rotors F & R, Hawk HPS 5.0 Street pads, 034 stainless brake lines.
I've used StopTech rotors in 3 cars so far (95 Camaro Z28, 06 Volvo V70R and 05 Corvette) and simply ordered the OEM equivalent and all worked fine. The Camaro worked better than OEM, the V70R worked about the same (OEM brakes were Bremebo so they were already pretty good) and the Corvette was also about the same (car already had excellent stopping capability.)
I went the other way - I've had scary brake fade a number of times on VW/Audis on the track in the past, and I wanted the "once and done" option when I picked up my Golf R earlier this year. So, worked with Achtuning to install a Stoptech ST60 355mm setup on the front, with stoptech rotors, pads, and SS lines all around. Pro Absolutely bulletproof on HPDEs. You simply don't worry about brake temps or soft pedals, you get 100% braking all day long.
On the other one i just pulled the trigger on ebc slotted rotors And the red stuff pads.
I ended up getting a kit from urotuning, stop tech cross drilled rotors and stop tech pads. I am very happy with the performance, the cross drilling seems to take care of the poor braking whith the stock rotors in wet conditions. The initial bite is a little less agressive than stock, maybe a different pad would give that back.
Front rotors are Stoptech slotted with Hawk HT10 pads ~90% life. Rear rotors and pads are OEM quality with ~75% life.
Pagid RS42 + EBC Ultimax discs + braided brake lines
The rotors have come in I usually go with EBC but I had to cut their slotted rotors twice cuz of pulsation, stoptech has been good so far.
Some people will get an error when trying to get their xenons to go into adaptation mode. I played with my setup and got a MIL. My rear level sensor is a good bit off, so it throws my xenons off no matter what. Ill need to tap a new hole and play with positioning in order to get the measurement back to where the car will auto adjust again. Ill let u guys know what I come up with, along with a really easy to follow write up.
